As a child, I was always fascinated by that long tube with wonderful colored lights at the other end. When you turned the bottom of the tube, the colors and designs changed much to my delight. Those images have stayed with me for many years.
One evening when I was relaxing with my wife, I thought how great it would be if I could reproduce that kaleidoscope image in a papercut. Once again I was going to embark on yet another artisitic papercut journey.
After many exhausting hours and only GOD knows how many tries, I came up with a design that would give me the desired effects of a kaleidoscope. The design also gave me the opportunity to manipulate the size of the sections of the circle to fit whatever pattern I chose.
The photo on this entry illustrates my efforts in creating a kaleidoscope papercut. I hope that you enjoy viewing it. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.
You can also go to my website(funtasticcards.com) and view my other kaleidoscope papercuts in my gallery. There is also a tutorial on creating your own kaleidoscope papercut if you so choose. If you need extra help you can e-mail me or contact me on my flickr site. Until my next post, have a wonderful day and HAPPY CUTTING.
