My Do Nothing Day

Posted On 2009-09-06 , 5:33 PM

NOW THAT YOU ARE SMILING AND I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION--LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MY DO NOTHING DAY

My “Do Nothing Day”

Everyone should experience a “do nothing day”. It’s a day to rest, recuperate from a long week, cleanse your mind or just get LAZY. My do nothing day normally consists of spending quality time with my wife. Since my children are all grown up and have children of their own, there is more time that can be devoted to my wife.
She has always been my inspiration and my love for over 45 years. We’ll start relaxing and talking and the next thing you know, she will come up with an idea for a papercut or some other art project that I know I will never have the time for. Slowly the idea grows in my mind until I can’t take it anymore.
Before you know it, I am in my WORK ROOM, guess what I’m doing, that’s right---WORKING. After several hours, I re-appear and my day has just ended. The idea that my wife had planted in my head is either finished or at least half way there.
As I sit on the couch, cuddling with my wife, I dream about a “do nothing day” when I will actually DO NOTHING. See everyone real soon with my next posting. Until then—HAPPY CUTTING.
